NEW DELHI: The AI4NetZero team at EnERG Lab, IIT Madras will organize a three-day hands-on workshop titled “AI in Action: Climate and Energy Systems Applications” from August 7-9, 2026. The program will focus on the use of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data science in climate research, energy systems and renewable energy technologies.The workshop is aimed at students, researchers and industry professionals who want to understand the practical applications of AI to address challenges related to energy transition and climate solutions.Workshop to explore AI applications in energy systemsDuring the three-day program, participants will be introduced to data-driven decision-making methods and their role in modern energy systems. The sessions will cover AI applications in renewable energy forecasting, power system optimization, predictive maintenance and climate modeling.Participants will receive hands-on training through guided Google Colab tutorials and work with real datasets and reusable notebooks. The hands-on approach will help attendees understand how AI tools can be applied to analyze energy data and develop technology-based solutions.
