When the film was re-released, the filmmaker was asked if ‘Kushi 2’ could happen. Although he did not confirm any plans, his answer has been popular among fans, many of whom are wondering if the beloved love story will return to the big screen in a new form.
SJ Suryah shares his honest thoughts on ‘Kushi 2’
Answering questions about the making of ‘Kushi 2’ is VijaySanjay’s son and Jyothika’s daughter, SJ Suryah responded thoughtfully. “Some miracles cannot be made. They have to happen by themselves. If God has planned it, everything will happen,” he said, as reported by News 18. He also remembered how ‘Kushi’ had come together in the first place. “When I told Vijay the story, he didn’t do anything. I thought he wasn’t happy about it and I asked if I should tell another story. But he just said, ‘No, this is fine.’ Let’s do this.’ I was surprised because he accepted it out of hand,” said the official.
The director recalls the success of ‘Kushi’
SJ Suryah also reflected on what made ‘Kushi’ special. “The main idea of ’Kushi’ and the way the story was told was different. Deva’s music played a big role in making the film a success. The song ‘Kattipudi Kattipudi’ was inspired by the song ‘Senthamizh Then Mozhiyal.’ If you play the song quickly, you will see the similarities,” he said. The reviews gave fans a huge boost in the making of the blockbuster, which remains one of the biggest hits in Vijay and Jyothika’s career.
