Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur has published notification for the recruitment of 312 Nursing Assistant posts under advertisement no. 12/2026. The vacancies are in the Department of Medical Education and Research, Himachal Pradesh and will be filled on a five-year commitment.The notification was issued on 23rd July 2026 while the online application process will start on 30th July 2026 at 10:00 AM. Eligible candidates can submit their Online Recruitment Application (ORA) through the official portal till 29th August 2026 at 11.59 PM.Eligibility and vacancy dataRecruitment is open to female candidates only. Applicants must have a B.Sc. Nursing Degree with minimum 50 percent marks or GNM/A-Grade Nursing Diploma with minimum 50 percent marks.Candidates must also be registered with Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC), Shimla-06. The notification states that applicants must be Himachali Bonafide candidates. They must also have passed class 10 and class 12 from institutions located in Himachal Pradesh, though this schooling condition will not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.The established age limit is 21 to 45 years, with January 1, 2026, as the cut-off date for age calculation. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government norms.Application fee and selection processCandidates from all categories including General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, BPL, WFF and PwBD have to pay an application fee of Rs.800. A correction fee of Rs.100 will be charged for amending the application forms submitted during the correction period, which will open four days after three days from the application closing date.The selection process includes Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR based written selection test followed by document verification, preparation of final merit list and medical fitness verification.Exam pattern and application processThe selection test will include 120 multiple choice questions for 120 marks and will be conducted for 90 minutes. The paper will include questions on Nursing, General Knowledge, Himachal Pradesh General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Daily Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English and General Hindi.Candidates must secure at least 45 percent marks in General category and 40 percent marks in SC, ST, OBC and WFF categories to qualify.Applicants can register through the HPRCA portal by completing the one-time registration process, filling the online application form, selecting their preferred examination district and submitting the application fee before the deadline. Selected candidates will be paid a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs.25,000/-.
