The University Dr. BR Ambedkar Delhi (AUD) has started the admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic session 2026-27, opening applications for students seeking admission to its humanities and social sciences courses.Set up by the Delhi government, the university will admit students to 23 degree programs that have an intake of 1,194 students. Admission to three-year and four-year degree programs will be based on CUET UG 2026 score as per NEP 2020 guidelines.The university has requested candidates to complete registration through its CUET UG admission portal and thoroughly verify program-specific eligibility conditions before submitting their applications.

University authorities have urged applicants to avoid waiting until the last date for registration, warning that last-minute technical issues could disrupt the application process.Students have also been advised to carefully review the admission guidelines, reservation rules, fee details and calendar of important dates before completing the application process. The university said applicants should regularly monitor the official website for any admission-related notifications or changes.
five new degree programs introduced
The academic session 2026-27 will witness a major expansion of the university’s academic portfolio with the introduction of at least five new degree programmes.Among the major additions is a bachelor’s degree in museology, culture and heritage management, which university officials described as one of the first programs of its kind at the university level in India. The university is also launching a degree in visual arts as part of its efforts to diversify its academic offerings.
Restructured math course with AI and data science
AUD has also revamped its mathematics curriculum by replacing the existing BA (Hons) Mathematics program with a BSc in Mathematics.Officials said the revised program will include a major in data science and artificial intelligence, reflecting the growing emphasis on interdisciplinary education and emerging technologies.The curriculum overhaul aims to equip students with mathematical foundations along with industry-relevant technology skills.
New postgraduate courses to be offered under the PGCF
The university is simultaneously expanding its postgraduate curriculum under the Postgraduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF). According to university officials, one-year postgraduate programs will be offered in seven disciplines.Newly introduced postgraduate courses include the MA in Creative Writing and the MA in Performing Arts (theatre arts), expanding opportunities for students interested in creative and performing disciplines.
CUET UG 2026 results boost the admissions process
The admission exercise follows the declaration of the CUET UG 2026 results by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 23 June.The exam recorded only one candidate achieving a perfect 100 percentile in four of the five subjects chosen. Data released by the agency showed that 22 candidates achieved the 100th percentile in three subjects, while 180 candidates achieved the top score in two subjects. Another 3,214 candidates scored 100 percentile in a subject.
More than 11.6 thousand candidates appeared in CUET UG
CUET UG 2026 witnessed the participation of more than 11.64 lakh candidates across the country. Women accounted for almost half of the total entries, with 7,74,607 female candidates appearing for the exam compared to 7,94,257 male candidates. However, female participation exceeded that of males during the exam, with 5,85,596 females against 5,78,500 males.Three candidates registered in the category of third gender, of which two appeared in the examination. With the CUET UG admission cycle underway, Ambedkar University Delhi’s expanded list of programs and revised curriculum is expected to offer students a wider range of academic options during the 2026-27 admission season.
