The Bihar Education Department has sent an application to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for the recruitment of 32,388 teachers in the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4). The announcement was made by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary in a social media post on 29 July 2026.According to the chief minister, the transfer marks a key step in the recruitment process for teaching posts in primary, middle, high and high schools in the state. Recruitment will be done by Bihar Public Service Commission after issuing official notification.More than 32,000 proposed teaching positionsThe application includes vacancies at four levels of school education. The highest number of places has been proposed for upper secondary cycles, followed by secondary vacancies.
BPSC to issue recruitment notificationWith the application submitted, the Bihar Public Service Commission is expected to start the recruitment process by releasing the official TRE 4 notification. The notification will provide details about the eligibility criteria, application dates, exam pattern, selection procedure and other recruitment guidelines.Candidates interested in applying for the vacancies will have to wait for the official notification before submitting the applications.The government emphasizes education and employmentAnnouncing the development, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the recruitment is aimed at strengthening the state’s education system while creating employment opportunities for the youth. He described the move as an important step to improve the quality of education and fill vacancies in government schools in Bihar.The Chief Minister also stated that the government remains committed to expanding employment opportunities and improving the education sector in the state through regular recruitment drives.Bihar Public Service Commission is expected to announce more details including application schedule, district vacancies, reservation categories and other recruitment related information through official notification.
