Argentina are back on familiar territory as they look to book another place in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup. The reigning champions topped Group K with three straight wins before enduring a huge scare in the Round of 32. Cape Verde debutants pushed Lionel Scaloni’s side to extra time before a late own goal helped Argentina escape with a 3-2 win.
The Egyptian route is equally spectacular. The Pharaohs reached the knockout stage for the first time after recording their first ever World Cup win during the group stage and then beating Australia 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. No team has lost a game in this tournament so far.
