HSSC CET Group C Recruitment 2026: Registration ends tomorrow for 1,238 posts; direct link to apply here
Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the online registration process for Group C Recruitment 2026 tomorrow, 30 June 2026. Eligible candidates who have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group C 2025 can apply through HSSC official recruitment portal before 11:59 PM.Recruitment is being done under advertisement no. 06/2026 for 1238 Group C Vacancies in various Departments of Haryana Govt. Applications will be accepted online from June 24 to June 30, 2026.
Details of the vacancy
Recruitment includes the following positions:
- Deputy Superintendent Jail (Male): 30 posts
- Deputy Superintendent of Jail (Female): 3 posts
- Jail Warden (Female): 112 Posts
- Prison Warden (Male): 1,093 posts
This brings the total number of vacancies to 1,238.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for Assistant Jail Superintendent Posts should have Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University. Applicants for Jail Warden posts must have passed class 12th or equivalent. Candidates should also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at Matric level or above. Physical standards and physical screening tests will also apply to these locations.
Selection process
The hiring process includes:
- Written exam
- Physical measurement test (if applicable)
- Physical Screening Test (Qualification by Nature)
- Document verification
The written exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions carrying 100 marks. The duration of the exam will be 1 hour and 45 minutes. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers, but candidates will have to mark the fifth option for unattempted questions. Failure to do so will result in one mark being deducted for each question not attempted.
