After Farah finished her portion of gifts, Shreyas and his wife found themselves surrounded by a pile of goodies. The warm moment prompted Shreyas to share a touching story, revealing that it was Om Shanti Om who made him buy his first home. Farah was very surprised and said she was happy to hear. Shreyas recalled, “Mein bank gaya tha, but loan eligibility nhi tha mera and then the bank lady said, ‘Kaunsi film kr raha h? Maine kaha Om Shanti Om, usne poocha kaun hai usmein? (I went to the bank, but I didn’t qualify for a house loan.) The bank manager asked me, ‘What film are you making?’ I said, ‘Om Shanti Om.’ Then he asked me, ‘Who is playing with them?’), I said Shah Rukh Khanhe asked who he was targeting? I said Farah Khan. He said can you give me a letter?”

Shreyas went on to explain how both Farah and Shah Rukh Khan stepped in to help him get the loan approved. He added, “I called Farah, and he got me a letter from Shah Rukh Khan in two days and that night he accepted the loan.” Farah couldn’t help but react with a mixture of joy and humor after hearing the news, saying, “I am very happy because humne tujhe kya hi paise diye honge Om Shanti Om ke (Maybe we didn’t even pay much for Om Shanti Om).“
About ‘Om Shanti Om’ and its success at the box office
‘Om Shanti Om’, directed by Farah Khan and produced under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, featured Shah Rukh Khan in a double role alongside Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut with the film.
