Tamil Nadu starts MBBS, BDS admission registration for 2026-27 as NEET UG results awaited
The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Board has started accepting online applications for admission to MBBS/BDS programs in the academic year 2026-27. Candidates who are eligible for the admissions can apply on the online admission portal while waiting for the final result of NEET-UG 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to announce the revised NEET-UG results after the re-examination conducted on June 21. NTA had announced the resumption of the exam following allegations of a leak in the May 3 exam. After the objection period for the provisional answer key is over, all the candidates are eagerly waiting for the final release of the answer key or the result.The state of Tamil Nadu is conducting the admission procedure even after the delay in the announcement of NEET-UG 2026 result in order to ensure that there will be enough time to prepare the counseling when the entrance exam result is announced.Candidates who are seeking admission in undergraduate medical and dental course can apply through the official website of the state medical admission portal.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following conditions before submitting their applications: Have qualified the NEET-UG exam. They should have passed class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age to be eligible for admission.

- Click on the link to register online for MBBS and BDS admissions for 2026 session.
- Select the quota under which you wish to apply.
- Register as a new candidate.
- Log in with the generated registration credentials.
- Fill the application form carefully.
- Upload the required documents and pay the prescribed application fee.
- Please review all details before final shipment.
- Download and save a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
Necessary documents
These documents should be ready by the candidate when filling the application form: Re-examination admit card and score card for NEET-UG 2026, Class 10 mark sheet, Class 11 mark sheet, Higher Secondary (Class 12) mark sheet, Transfer certificate obtained on completion, Plus Two or equivalent, Study certificate for 12th examination, Studies Studied partially in classes 6 to 12 outside Tamil Nadu, Supporting documents for Tamil Nadu native candidates who have completed their schooling in Tamil Nadu, Permanent Community Certificate Card, First Graduate Certificate.Applicants who apply for the First Degree benefit must also present the corresponding certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of securing admission to the assigned college.
