Karnataka Standardizes Saturday School Timings: Check New Timetable Here
The Karnataka School Education Department has standardized Saturday school timings for all government, aided and private schools across the state. From now on, all schools will function from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays, ending the different timings followed in different districts.Until now, Saturday times varied from school to school. While some schools held classes from 8am to 12pm, others operated from 7.30am to 11.30am. According to local media, the department has now ordered all schools to follow the same four-hour timetable.The department said the change will make school schedules more predictable for students and parents. Because all schools start and end at the same time on Saturdays, families no longer have to keep track of different schedules.The common schedule is also expected to help teachers comply with the state’s mandatory online attendance system. Since all schools will begin classes at the same time, teachers will be able to mark their attendance uniformly across the state.
