NEW DELHI: The Indian boxing contingent produced a perfect five-for-five performance at the Commonwealth Games 2026 on Wednesday, with Narender Berwal joining Ankush Yadav, Sakshi Choudhary, Arundhati Choudhary and Sachin Siwach in the semifinals after a memorable day in Glasgow.The five victories ensured that every Indian boxer who stepped into the ring on Wednesday progressed to the last four, taking India’s total number of semifinalists in boxing to nine.The achievement has already surpassed India’s Birmingham 2022 boxing medal tally, where the country finished with seven medals — three gold, one silver and three bronze.With nine semifinal berths, India is now assured of at least nine bronze medals in the Glasgow boxing competition.
