Former actor and activist Somy Aliknown for his past relationship with Salman Khanhas revealed that he has spent the last 16 years searching for missing Bollywood actor Raj Kiran, saying he made a promise to the late actor. Sharing the details on Instagram, Somy said that her search started when she met Rishi Kapoor during the shooting of a film. The two reminisce about Karz, where Raj Kiran sang with Kapoor, where they discussed the actor’s mysterious disappearance.According to Somy, they decided to watch Raj Kiran together. When Rishi Kapoor died in 2020 without finding her, he said he continued to search for her alone.“I made a promise to Chintu ji during the shooting and before he left us that I will not stop my search for Raj Kiran. This is my 16th year. I have knocked on unknown doors through addresses given to me by private investigators. I found a house in New York where the front desk person told me that they have never seen Raj Kiran, but his brother, Gobind, his 1st wife, Gobind, their 1st wife, Gobind, lived for 1 year, Gobind, and his wife of 1 years of the house.

Somy shared photos and videos of his efforts to find the missing actor, including trying to reach his brother Gobind and sister-in-law Judy.“I have reached out to everyone from his family, but to no avail. Not because I promised Chintu ji, but also because I am really concerned if Raj ji is safe or kept somewhere under duress,” he added.Asking people for help, Somy wrote, “Although it’s not a big reward, if someone can provide a valid address – whether it’s a mental health facility or a home – you will receive a reward. Please help. Thank you.”
Consider filing a missing person’s report
Among the documents he shared was a letter Somy said he sent to Judy via LinkedIn. In it he revealed that he decided to go to the New York Police Department.“My last action was to file a missing person’s report with the NYPD and offer a $5,000 reward to anyone who could provide valid information,” the letter read.He also revealed that he spent his own savings and borrowed money from his mother to continue the investigation.“I have nothing to gain. As I said, I have spent money – some I borrowed from my mother and the rest from my own money – to find him. I ask you to be kind in this situation and show him my message,” he wrote.
Raj Kiran’s disappearance remains a mystery
Raj Kiran went missing in the early 2000s, and over the years, conflicting reports have emerged as to his whereabouts.At one point, Rishi Kapoor said that Raj’s brother Kiran Gobind told him that the actor is alive and staying in a psychiatric hospital in Atlanta.“I was happy when Govind told me that Raj was alive. But he was in Atlanta due to illness,” Rishi told reporter Subhash K. Jha.However, Raj Kiran’s daughter, Rishika Mahata, later denied the claims.“He is not in Atlanta. We have been looking for him for more than eight years. We have been working with the New York Police and we hired special investigators to find him, but he has not been found,” said Mid-day.Remembering her father, she added, “He was a very loving father. Yes, he suffered from some mental illness before he died. We wanted to deal with this in private, but false reports forced me to speak out. It was unfair to my mother.”Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who met Raj Kiran during his treatment, also recalled how the actor spoke to Rediff.“Many years ago, when he was in the mental hospital at Masina Hospital, he was not the Raj Kiran I knew. He looked sad and depressed, and he spoke with great difficulty.
