New Delhi: In a development that could lead to a thaw in the relationship between the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Indian cricket board (BCCI:) after a year of uncertainty, TOI understands that the two boards are working on an itinerary for India’s tour of Bangladesh in the first half of Sept.It is learned that the BCCI is set to push back the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan to be held in Delhi to clear the window for the white-ball series in Bangladesh. The final nod for the series will come from the Indian government, but the boards want to make sure everything is ready when the approval comes.India refused to tour Bangladesh last year due to diplomatic tensions following which Bangladesh lost their place in the T20 World Cup to India after Mustafizur Rahman kicked out of the IPL on Jan.TOI has learned that the BCB has kept all the spots free from September 1 as it has proposed a few combinations that the BCCI will choose according to convenience. India’s Test tour of Sri Lanka is due to end on August 27. If the series against Afghanistan is brought back, that could open up a two-week window on Sept. The Afghanistan series, which will be managed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board, is scheduled to start from Sept 13“BCB is also fine with the idea of holding all the matches at one venue. They prefer three T20Is at one venue and three ODIs at another. Dhaka and Chattogram are the top venues.
