The Malayalam fantasy adventure ‘ARM’ (‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’) added another win to its journey at the 72nd National Film Awards. The film won the award for Best Female Playback Singer, and Vaikom Vijayalakshmi recognized for his rendition of ‘Angu Vaana Konilu’.The song was composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, while Manu Manjith penned the lyrics.

Vaikom Vijayalakshmi’s melodious rendition received critical acclaim from the audience upon the film’s release. The winners of the 72nd National Film Awards were announced on Saturday, honoring excellence in film, non-fiction and documentary film. The awards recognized films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in the calendar year 2024.South Indian films enjoyed success in several categories. ‘Feminichi Fathima’ was named Best Malayalam Film, while ‘Raayan’, directed by Dhanush, won the Best Tamil Film award.Another highlight of the award ceremony was Mammootty’s Best Actor win for his performance in ‘Bramayugam’.
