Actor and film producer Dhanush shared how he felt after receiving two honors at the 72nd National Film Awards. His directorial venture ‘Raayan’ won the Best Regional Film award. At the same time, he received a special award (Best Actor) for his performance in ‘Captain Miller’.After the winners were announced, Dhanush went to X to express his gratitude.He wrote, “I am very humbled and overwhelmed to receive the National Award for Best Regional Film for ‘Raayan’ and the National Award (Special Mention – Best Actor) for ‘Captain Miller’. I am very grateful to the honorable judges of the National Film Awards and the selection committee.”He added, “I am very thankful to the media, media and social media for their unwavering support throughout my career. This is my third National Award as an actor and my first National Award as a director. None of this would have been possible without my fans – the pillars of my strength. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Dhanush also opened up about receiving the Special Mention award for ‘Captain Miller’. He also described the project as one of his favorite sports in his career.He wrote, “This recognition for ‘Captain Miller’ is very close to me because I have always believed in my best performance so far. Veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty also made waves after being honored at the 72nd National Film Awards.
