CBSE implements a two board examination system
The 2026 academic session witnessed the rollout of the two-board examination framework for class 10 in line with the NEP 2020 reforms. While sitting the first board exam remained compulsory, the second was optional and designed exclusively for students seeking better results. The initiative aims to reduce exam-related stress, allowing students another chance to improve their academic performance rather than relying on a single high-stakes exam.According to CBSE, the final mark sheet will automatically reflect the best score obtained in either of the two attempts.
