This happened at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where they were shooting for Prabhas starrer ‘Fauzi’. News of his illness caused concern among his fans and well-wishers, who expressed concern that he had recovered.
FWICE president confirms release, upcoming plans
The actor was reportedly released recently and is now recovering at home. He also plans to return to work soon. BN Tiwari, President of FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees), told Bollywood Hungama, “Rajesh Sharma ji has been released recently. He is currently recovering at his home in Mumbai. He should also go to other countries in the coming days to shoot for work.”
What happened on July 8
According to actor and filmmaker Sudipta Chatterjee Agnidev Chatterjee shortly after the incident on July 8, Sharma was bitten by the insect while he was talking to local experts in an area with green vegetation nearby. Since the bite did not seem serious at the time, he skipped medical treatment and left for Kolkata. However, soon after, he developed severe pain in his right leg, high fever, and became restless – prompting him to be admitted to Manipal Hospital in the city.

Akshay Kumar sends warm wishes for a speedy recovery
Soon after hearing about Sharma’s health, Akshay Kumar took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his concern for his fellow actor. Sharing a picture with Sharma, she wrote, “I am very concerned to hear about my dear friend Rajesh’s health after being bitten by an insect while we were shooting. Hope Mahadev blesses him with a speedy and complete recovery. Jaldi theek ho ja yaar, abhi saath baith ke bhot hansna hai.”
