The National Testing Agency has released the NEET UG 2026 cutoff along with the result, detailing the marks and minimum qualifying percentiles for each category. The revised cut off is higher than last year which indicates a more competitive exam. Qualified candidates can now start the counseling process for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc. Nursing and other undergraduate medical programs.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG 2026 cut off along with the declaration of NEET UG 2026 results. Candidates who appeared for the Undergraduate Medical Entrance Examination can now check both their score cards and cut off marks on the official website.The cut off specifies the percentile and minimum marks required to qualify for the counseling process for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc. Nursing and other medical degree courses. The results and qualifying criteria were announced on July 16, 2026.

NEET UG 2026 Cut Off: Category wise Rank Marks

The cutoff has been prepared on the basis of the percentile criteria prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Along with the ranking percentile, the NTA has also announced the marks corresponding to each category.

Candidates who have secured marks within the prescribed cut-off range for their respective categories will be eligible to participate in the counseling process.

NTA publishes data of qualified candidates by category

Along with the cut off, the NTA has also released the number of candidates who qualified in different categories.

The agency has clarified that these figures represent qualified candidates in the categories mentioned in the official scorecard. Separately, the NTA has declared that more than 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for NEET UG 2026 in all categories.

The cutoff marks increase compared to last year

The NEET UG 2026 qualifying marks have seen a marked increase over the previous year, especially for candidates from the General category.

What should qualified candidates do next?

Candidates who have fulfilled the qualification limit can now proceed with the admission process. The following steps include:

  • Download the NEET UG 2026 Mark Sheet.
  • Register at Medical advisory committee Counseling (MCC) for All India Quota Seats.
  • Apply for the appropriate state advisory process.
  • Fill in your preferred universities and courses.
  • Participate in the seat allotment rounds as per counseling schedule.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official websites of NTA, MCC and their respective state counseling authorities for updates regarding registration, option filling and admission timings.
