The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has introduced a Single Registration System (OTR) to facilitate the application process for candidates appearing for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) and other recruitment examinations. The new facility is available free of charge and aims to reduce the need to fill in the same details every time candidates apply for a government recruitment exam.Although the OTR system is new for the UPSSSC exams, similar registration systems are already in use for various government recruitment exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), State Public Service Commissions (State PSCs) and other state recruitment boards.
what is the UPSSSC OTR system ?
With the new system, candidates only need to register and submit their personal details once. After generating an OTR number, the same information will automatically be used for future UPSSSC recruitment applications. To complete the registration, candidates will need to verify their mobile number and email address. They will also need to provide details such as their name, parents’ names, date of birth, category, address and educational qualifications.Applicants must also upload a recent color photograph, taken within the last six months, along with their signature in the prescribed format.
Details cannot be changed after registration
UPSSSC has advised the candidates to fill all the information carefully while registering. Once the OTR number is generated, the data submitted during registration cannot be edited or modified.
The PET score will remain valid for three years
The commission has also confirmed that the PET score will remain valid for three years. If a candidate has more than one valid PET score during this period, they will be allowed to use the higher score while applying for future recruitment exams. The OTR system was first proposed by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath in 2023. It has now been launched along with the new UPSSSC website to make the recruitment process simpler, more transparent and more convenient for government job aspirants.
