‘The Conjuring’ franchise has had a successful run in the horror genre, with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga starring as detectives Ed and Lorraine Warren. The horror universe continues to grow with the first film that introduces smaller versions of these beloved characters. This new compilation marks another step in the studio’s efforts to explore the origins and early years of the Warren family’s spiritual research.According to Dread Central, Garrett Wareing and Amanda Fix have been cast in a new prequel called ‘The Conjuring: First Communion’. 24-year-old Wareing took on the role of young Ed Warren, while Canadian actress Amanda Fix played young Lorraine Warren. Directed by Rodrigue Huart, the first film was written by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing. Shooting had begun on the film, making progress on the first project.

Amanda Fix brought her background in design. The Canadian actor made his film debut with “Broken Diamonds” in 2021. He appeared in the series ‘Kung Fu’, ‘High School’, ‘Orphan Black: Echoes’, and this year’s promotional series. She also played the younger version of Gillian Anderson in the upcoming film ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’, directed by Jane Schoenbrun.

‘The Conjuring: First Communion’ release and franchise expansion
The story of ‘The Conjuring: First Communion’ has not been revealed by the studio, but the prequel has already booked a release date of September 10, 2027, just before the Halloween season.
