Delhi University has released the provisional schedule and venues for the Extra Curricular Activities Quota (ECA) tests for undergraduate admissions, with the physical assessments scheduled from July 16. The announcement comes as the university continues its undergraduate admissions process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).Candidates seeking admission under the ECA fee have been advised to check the college website regularly for updates as separate email or SMS notifications will not be sent regarding their test schedule.
Individual test slots will be released after the application patch window
The university said the dates and venues of the category-wise tests have already been announced, while the detailed schedule showing the exact date and time allotted to each candidate will be published after the application correction window closes.Students have been advised to download and verify their test schedule from the official DU website once it is released. The university clarified that it will not send individual communications to candidates about their allocated places.
Out-of-station candidates are advised to plan their travel in advance
Delhi University has issued a special advisory for candidates traveling from outside the national capital. Instead of waiting for individual test timings, these students have been asked to book their travel tickets for any date that falls within the notified test period of their respective ECA category.The university has also recommended that candidates arrange accommodation near the designated test venue. Those whose assigned test date conflicts with a confirmed travel itinerary may request a change by writing to the university. Such requests will be considered, based on availability within the notified trial period.
Calendar and places of tests by categories
Physical tests for various categories of ECA will start on different dates in designated universities.
- July 16: Dance, Debate, Vocal Music and Theatre
- July 17: Yoga
- July 20: Quiz and Fine Arts
- July 21: Creative Writing, Instrumental Music, Digital Media and Divinity
The university has allotted separate nodal colleges for each category. The dance tests will be held at Bharati College, while the debate candidates will appear at Ramjas College. Drama auditions will be held at Miranda House, and vocal music assessments will be held at Mata Sundri College for Women.Instrumental Music candidates will appear at Sri Aurobindo College (Day), Creative Writing Test at Hansraj College, Digital Media Test at Maharaja Agrasen College, Fine Arts at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Divinity at Rajdhani College, Quiz at Zakir Hussain Delhi College (Evening) and Yoga at PGDAV (Evening).Most of the trials are expected to continue for about a week, except Sundays, while the yoga trials will be completed over two days.
There is no physical test for NCC and NSS applicants
The university has clarified that candidates applying for National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) categories will not be required to appear for physical tests.Instead, your assessment will be done through the established admissions process.
ECA marks and claims window
According to the university, the marks obtained by the candidates in the ECA evaluation process are expected to be uploaded on the admission portal around July 25 or 26.After the marks are published, candidates will have a two- to three-day complaints period to raise any questions related to the assessment.
The academic session will begin on July 28
