The results of Bhagam Bhag may come sooner than fans think. Discussions about this started last year, and later it was confirmed that a sequel to the 2006 film is indeed being made, but with a twist: Manoj Bajpayee takes over the role played by Govinda. Now, new ideas about this have surfaced on social media.
Raaj Shaandilyaa ‘s cryptic post
Filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa, best known for supporting ‘Dream Girl’ and its sequel, took to X on Tuesday to share a secret: “Bas thoda aur intzaar…uske baad saare ‘SIGNAL’ khulne waale hain…” The story is about Signal, the much loved song from ‘Bhagamposed by Bhagam’ Pritam Chakraborty and sung by Remo Fernandes and Suzanne D’Mello.
Paresh Rawal based on what Raaj Shaandilyaa wrote
Adding to the fans’ excitement was actor Paresh Rawal’s response to the post. When she was all set to reprise her role in ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’, she tweeted with a simple reply: “AMEN !” Also, Akshay Kumar are confirmed to be in the film.
A high religious heritage
Over the years, ‘Bhagam Bhag’ has gone on to gain cult status. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film follows three men from the theater troupe who travel to London to perform in a play, only to be found guilty of murder.
The stone method of making
Before the production started, ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ faced a problem. Raaj was roped in as a director in March this year, but things fell through due to three film commitments he had with producer Ektaa Kapoor. Since he did not receive a No Objection Letter from him, a breach of contract dispute ensued, with claims that he had signed the foreign assignment without returning the money he had received to direct the third film. By May, the two had made peace, even posting photos together on Instagram.
