His loss affected him so much that he no longer found joy or purpose in acting. In search of solace, he left Mumbai and went to Rishikesh with no plans for the future. Talking about the most difficult time in his life, the actor revealed in an interview with Indian Express that his father’s death was a huge blow to him. He said: “I was suffering from a serious illness. Doctors had removed 15 liters of pus from my stomach and soon after recovery, my father died. I had started to lose my life. So, I went to Rishikesh and started making omelets at a dhaba near the banks of the Ganga. The dhaba owner told me that I have to wash 50 cups a day and I will get 150. But then I decided that I need money to survive,” he said.

Sanjay Mishra remembers his last conversation with his late father
The ‘Dhamaal 4’ actor also spoke about how he once thought about giving up on life when he had a health problem that changed his outlook on life. “I had to die,” he said. He said doctors had warned his family that his chances of survival were slim if the operation was not successful.After recovering from surgery, her father died a few days after being released from the hospital. Mishra recalled one of their last conversations that still lingered in his heart and mind. “I told my father, ‘How can you live with a three-day-old chicken? and he said, ‘Tumhari nasihat ki zaroorat nahin Hai (I don’t need your advice).’ These were my father’s last words to me,” he said. The grief deepened when Mishra later found a poignant note in his father’s diary after his death. He revealed that his father was embarrassed after the actor got angry with fans outside the cinema hall while watching ‘Aloo Chaat’.
