WBJEE 2026 Counselling: Second Round Registration & Option Filling Begins at wbjeeb.nic.in

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has started the registration and selection process for the second round of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2026 counseling. Eligible candidates can now complete the process by visiting the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.According to the schedule, the second round option filling window will remain open till July 17, 2026. The second round seat allotment result will be announced on July 21, while candidates who get a seat will have to complete the college report by July 23.

WBJEE 2026 Counselling round 2: stuffing of choice

During the selection process, candidates should select their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. They are advised to fill in as many options as possible to improve their chances of getting a seat.The board has also said that the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) seats will be displayed separately for each college and course. Candidates who are willing to accept both TFW and non-TFW seats should select both options. If they choose only one category, they may lose the chance to get a seat in the other category.After completing the choices candidates should lock their preferences before the last date. If they are not blocked manually, the board will automatically block the last saved options after the deadline.

How places will be allocated

The WBJEEB will prepare the second round seat allotment based on various factors including:

  • WBJEE or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Grade
  • Options filled in by the candidate
  • Category
  • Availability of seats

The board has also announced the schedule for the third round. Registration and election filling for the third round will begin on July 24th and will continue until July 26th.The third round seat allotment result will be declared on July 28. Candidates for the allotted seats in this round will have to complete the fee payment and report to their allotted colleges between July 28 and July 30.WBJEE counseling is conducted for admission to engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy degree programs offered by universities and colleges in West Bengal. Candidates are advised to complete the selection process carefully before the deadline to avoid missing the next phase of admission.
