Kia Syros EV spotted unknown before launch: Expected specs

The Kia Syros EV has now been spotted anonymously ahead of its expected debut later this month. New images circulating online reveal the production-ready model without camouflage. Here’s a quick look at the details we can expect from the upcoming electric SUV.From the outside, the Syros EV looks almost identical to the petrol-powered Syros. It retains the same upright stance, lighting elements and 17-inch alloy wheels. However, the electric version gets a slimmer front grille, slightly revised bumpers and a charging port positioned on the front left fender. The cabin is also expected to closely mirror the standard Syros. The spy images give a glimpse of a dual-tone interior along with the same dual-screen setup and a two-tone three-spoke steering wheel. Kia is likely to add EV-specific graphics and software to the infotainment system while keeping the overall layout of the dashboard unchanged. Feature-wise, the Syros EV is expected to offer a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control and a premium audio system. Safety equipment likely includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system and ADAS.Although Kia has not officially confirmed powertrain details, the Syros EV is expected to share its electric underpinnings with the globally sold Hyundai Inster EV. If that happens, the SUV could be offered with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery options. In international markets, the Inster EV delivers a claimed driving range of up to 369 km.
