NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (UoD) has released the DU UG 2026 mock rank list for over 2.06 lakh candidates through its undergraduate admission portal. Provisional rankings have been prepared based on candidates’ Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 scores and program preferences submitted during the admission process. Candidates can access the mock rank list from the official admission website.The university has clarified that the mock rank list is only a provisional indication of likely ranks and should not be treated as the final position for admission to degree programmes. Candidates whose names appear on the list can still change, add, delete or rearrange their program and university preferences before the final rankings and place allocation are announced.Mock rankings based on CUET scores and submitted preferencesAccording to the university, mock ranks have been generated using CUET 2026 scores along with preferences filled by applicants. As candidates may revise their choices after viewing mock rankings, the final ranking of any program may change before the admissions process moves to the first allocation phase.The university has advised applicants to carefully review their preferences during the permitted review window. Any changes made by the candidates may affect their final ranking in respect of the program before allotment of seats.Tie-breaking rules and verification processUoD stated that the Class 12 marks will be used to solve the tie-ups provided candidates secure identical positions based on CUET scores. The university also warned that any discrepancy or incorrect information in the class 12 marks submitted by the applicants could result in the cancellation of the candidature without prior notice. The responsibility for the consequences of the presentation of inaccurate information will fall entirely on the applicant.Performance-based courses excluded from simulated gradesThe university said mock ranks have not been generated for BA (Hons) Hindustani Music, BA (Hons) Carnatic Music, BA (Hons) Percussion Music, Bachelor of Physical Education, Health and Sports Education and Bachelor of Fine Arts programmes. Admissions to these courses will be made through performance based assessments rather than the mock ranking process.Registration registration and first award calendarThe 2026-27 undergraduate admissions cycle has seen the highest number of entries since the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) was introduced in 2022. A total of 2,18,284 candidates registered for the DU UG CSAS 2026 admissions, while 2,06,835 applicants completed the preference submission process.According to the university notification, the first phase of DU UG CSAS 2026 seat allotment will be announced on July 16, and candidates for the allotted seats will have to confirm their admissions by July 18.
