NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) is expected to release the final answer key for All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXI shortly. Candidates who have appeared for the national level certification exam will be able to download the final answer key from the AIBE official portal once it is released. The release follows review of objections raised against the provisional answer key.The final answer key will determine the marks used for the declaration of the AIBE XXI result. No further objections or challenges to the answer key will be entertained after its publication. The result is expected to be announced in mid-July 2026.More than 1.48 lakh registered candidatesThe AIBE is conducted to assess whether law graduates meet the minimum standard required to practice law in India. Passing the exam is mandatory for obtaining the Certificate of Practice (COP), which is issued by the Bar Council of India and authorizes lawyers to practice in courts across the country.According to registration data, more than 1.48 lakh law graduates registered for AIBE XXI. The exam was conducted at various test centers across India.Grade notes for different categoriesThe final answer key will be the basis to evaluate the performance of the candidates and prepare the final result. Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories must secure at least 45 percent marks to qualify the exam.Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Disabled categories must score a minimum of 40 percent to qualify. Those who achieve the prescribed qualifying marks will be eligible to receive the BCI Practicing Certificate.How to Download Final Answer KeyCandidates can access the final answer key by visiting AIBE official website and selecting AIBE XXI final answer key notification on the home page. The answer key PDF will contain the official answers for all question sets including sets A, B, C and D.After downloading the paper, candidates can compare their recorded answers with the official answers to estimate their final score before the result is declared. They are advised to save a copy of the answer key PDF for future reference during the result process.
