He described her as a strong woman who was funny, with a different way of looking at things. On Cyrus Broacha’s podcast, Pooja described her grandmother as “tough as nails.” He said his grandfather was later diagnosed with diabetes, which led to his leg being amputated. After the operation, his grandfather insisted on a funeral for the amputated leg, and the whole family had to attend the wonderful ceremony.

The actress added, “We got to go to St. Andrew’s Church where he was there when his leg was buried. We were all like, ‘What is this? This is a deadline rush.’ He just looks at everyone and takes notes. It’s dark…totally dark comedy. He was just looking at how everyone was doing things and who showed up and who didn’t. A lot of us were looking at each other like, ‘What the hell are we doing here?’
