A compound word describes a decision
In their statement, Revathy and Padmapriya said they have always sought a professional environment based on fairness, safety and accountability.Their statement reads, “Today, we are giving up our first AMMA membership Not in anger, not in haste. Between us we have dedicated many years to this industry, and we care where it is going. For many years the question was simple: safety, respect, accountability and equal treatment. What we encountered instead was silence, and a gradual realization that the organization, as it stands, is not ready to change. “They also wrote, “Malayalam cinema will always be ours to love and work for. This was not dependent on membership. Scroll to hear all our voices. See you in cinema, Revathy and Padmapriya #AMMA #MalayalamCinema #WomenInCinema #Mollywood #kerala.”In their right-swipe image, the bottom line reads, “Organizations endure not because people exist, but because they are trusted. We leave this chapter clear and hopeful.”

Kudos”Another said, “Always a good choice”. A third user added, “More power to you ashamas and Respect for what… Good choice.”
AMMA continues to experience organizational dysfunction
The resignation comes at a time of major events within AMMA. The organization recently saw its 17-member executive committee resign, led by the actor Shwetha Menon. The decision followed a no-confidence motion and a wide-ranging discussion at the body’s annual meeting in Kochi. After the resignation of the executive committee, AMMA appointed an ad-hoc committee to oversee the activities of the association. The interim team is headed by Ramesh Pisharody.
