TSLPRB Notification 2026: Telangana government has approved to fill 5000 vacancies in police department through direct recruitment. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) as per the government orders issued after reviewing the staff requirements.The approval was issued by the finance department (HRM.VII) after an assessment of personnel requirements under the administrative control of the Director General of Police (DGP). According to media reports, the government has directed the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) to get all necessary recruitment details from the home department and DGP before issuing the recruitment notification and exam schedule at the earliest.Vacancies by cadre have been approvedAccording to the government order, the sanctioned vacancies cover various ranks and specialized units within the police department. The recruitment includes 148 posts of Sub-Inspector (Civil), 14 posts of Sub-Inspector (Armed Reserve), 12 posts of Reserve Sub-Inspector in Telangana Special Police and three posts of Sub-Inspector in Special Armed Reserve Police Central Lines.
In addition, 23 posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector have been approved for the Fingerprint Bureau. The majority of vacancies are for constables, with 3,697 civilian constable positions and 1,052 Armed Reserve constable positions. The approved vacancies also include 24 constable posts in the Special Armed Reserve Central Police Lines, 20 constable (driver) posts and seven constable (mechanic) posts.The recruitment process will begin after verificationBefore issuing the recruitment notification, Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board has been directed to get details of vacancies, roll points, eligibility marks and other recruitment related data from home department and DGP.The government has directed that these details should be verified before the recruitment notification and exam schedule are released. He has asked the recruitment board to complete the process as soon as possible to facilitate timely appointments.Home Department directed to provide detailsThe government has also instructed the home department to provide all necessary information related to recruitment without delay. This includes cadre vacancies, reserve list details, prescribed qualifications and other data required for the recruitment process.Submission of this information will enable the recruitment board to finalize the recruitment notification and examination schedule. After receiving the required information from the home department and DGP, the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board will proceed with the direct recruitment process for the 5000 approved constable posts among the notified cadres.
