Actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran shared an exciting update for fans of the “Lucifer” franchise, which stars Mohanlal lead.While promoting his upcoming film ‘I, Nothing’, the actor confirmed that the third part of the blockbuster series is very much.Speaking to The Cue Studio, Prithviraj revealed that the makers always wanted ‘L2: Empuraan’ to be the central theme of the main story.“When we made ‘Lucifer’, we didn’t know whether the story would continue in the second or third film. But at the time we were shooting ‘Empuraan’, we were sure that the trilogy would be completed with the third part,” he said.
Murali Gopy has a story to prepare’L3 ‘
Prithviraj also said that writer Murali Gopy has already prepared the story for the next chapter. According to the actors, the team deliberately made Empuraan in a way that would naturally lead to the final film.He also explained that the production team has a clear strategy for completing the trilogy. “Murali has a clear idea about the story for the third episode, and she shared it with me and she is very excited and we want to do it,” said the ‘Khalifa’ actor.
A busy line can delay ‘L3’
While Prithviraj confirmed that L3 is happening, he admitted that planning for the project will be difficult. The actor currently has several commitments, both as an actor and as a filmmaker.Apart from ‘I, Nobody’, he has other big projects which include ‘Varanasi’ with SS Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu and ‘Odiyan: The Age of Illusion’ which is directed by Rahul Sadasivan.With a busy calendar ahead, Prithviraj revealed that finding the right window for L3 may take time.

During the promotions of ‘I, None’, Prithviraj also spoke highly of his co-star Parvathy Thiruvothu. The film marks another collaboration between the two actors after popular films like Ennu Ninte Moideen and Koode.In an interview with Galatta Plus, Prithviraj praised Parvathy for understanding filmmaking. He said that his ideas go beyond action and extend to the entire project type.“Parvathy is a very intelligent actress. I don’t mean her acting skills. I don’t think she judges the script by how much she has to do.
