Preference filling for CSAS will begin on July 3rd and end at 11:59pm on July 11th. Applicants will need to undergo the subject mapping process and prepare their programme-university preference list during the preference filling process. In the current phase of CSAS, candidates have to map their class 12 subjects to the CUET UG 2026 test papers. It is imperative for DU that the applicants have taken the CUET UG 2026 test in the same subjects in which they passed the class 12 exams. The subject mapping process is applicable to language subjects as well as domain subjects.

Candidates can submit multiple program and university preferences

Delhi University has allowed applicants to select as many program and college combinations as they are eligible for. However, the institution has emphasized that the sequence of preferences is one of the most critical factors in the allocation process.Students have been advised to carefully prepare their preference list after assessing their interests, eligibility and admission prospects. The university has also allowed candidates to rearrange their options several times before the deadline. Only preferences saved on the portal before the closing time will be taken into account for the allocation of places.

First assignment list will be released on July 16

The university will announce the first award list of CSAS UG 2026 at 17:00 on July 16. Candidates who receive places in the first round must accept their allocated place between 16 July and 18 July. Colleges will complete verification of applications by July 20, while the deadline for paying the first-round admission fee is July 21.The second allotment list is scheduled to be released on July 25. Candidates for second round allotted seats must complete payment of admission fee by 28th July.

Admissions based on CUET UG 2026 scores

Delhi University is offering admission to 73 degree programs along with 150 combinations of Bachelor of Arts (BA) program through CSAS portal this year. Admissions will be made entirely on the basis of CUET UG 2026 scores, subject to program-specific eligibility requirements. The university has also retained the upgrade and freeze options for admitted candidates. Students who accept an allocated place and complete the admissions process may freeze their admission or choose to upgrade to a higher preference program or university in subsequent rounds without losing their existing place, provided they meet the required conditions.

What applicants should consider

As the preference fulfillment process has begun, candidates are now at one of the most important stages of Delhi University admission for degree programs. Although the scores in CUET UG will help the candidates to be eligible, the allotment will depend a lot on how they manage the preferences. That is why students have been advised to check the subject mapping properly as well as examine each preference before filling it.
