HPBOSE 2026 Supplementary Exam: Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala has started the Matriculation and Class 12 supplementary examinations from 3rd July 2026. The examinations are being conducted for various categories such as Compartment, Essential Improvement, Optional Improvement, Additional Subject, Reappearance of Diploma Holder, Special Chance Rules and other relevant categories.The Board has issued detailed guidelines to ensure that the examinations are conducted smoothly and error-free at all centres. Candidates appearing for the supplementary examinations have been instructed to strictly follow all the examination rules and maintain discipline throughout the process. All work is carried out in a single morning session from 8:45 to 12:00.Strict instructions for fair conduct of examinationsHPBOSE Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma has directed that the examinations should be conducted in a fair and transparent manner at all the centres. Candidates have been advised to avoid any form of unfair means including cheating or using unauthorized material. The Council has stressed that strict control measures have been established to ensure compliance with the examination rules.Students have been urged to present themselves confidently and maintain honesty during the examination process. The Board has reiterated that discipline and sincerity remain essential for academic progress and passing the examinations of the supplementary system.Mandatory admission card for admission to the examination centersThe Board has uploaded the admit cards for Matric and Class 12 (Regular) supplementary examinations on its official website, www.hpbose.org. Candidates have to download their admit cards through the ‘Student’s Corner’ while schools can access and distribute them through the ‘School Login’ feature.Admission to the examination centers is strictly dependent on the verification of admit cards. Candidates should ensure that all the details like exam centre, subject details and personal information are printed correctly. In case of discrepancies, students have been advised to contact the relevant authorities before the date of examination.“Special Opportunity” category candidates have also been advised to download their admit cards and verify their eligibility status before appearing for the examination.Examination calendar and reporting rulesMatriculation (Regular) Category Supplementary Examinations will be held from July 3, 2026 to July 10, 2026. For Class 12 (Regular) candidates, the examinations will continue till July 16, 2026. All examinations are scheduled in the morning session and candidates should appear well before the starting time of 8:45 AM.Late entry to examination centers will not be permitted once the examination begins. Candidates have been instructed to carry the admit card without fail and to follow all the instructions issued at the center. The Board has also made it clear that compliance with the reporting deadline and verification procedures is mandatory.Public cooperation and complaint mechanismHPBOSE has appealed to parents, guardians and the general public to help maintain the integrity of the examination process. If any instance of malpractice or irregularity is observed at the examination centres, it must be reported immediately to the Council authorities.The Council has assured that all this information will be treated with complete confidentiality and that the appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the regulations. This mechanism has been introduced to strengthen transparency and ensure fair conduct in all examination centres.Helplines issued for the assistance of candidatesTo support the students during the examination period, HPBOSE has issued helpline numbers for districts and categories. These helplines are meant to help candidates with queries related to Admit Cards, Exam Centers and Time Tables.Candidates have been advised to make use of these support facilities for any necessary clarification before or during the examination period. The Board has declared that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of supplementary examinations in Himachal Pradesh.
