2026 Renault Kwid India launch tomorrow: What to expect

Renault India is all set to launch the new and updated Renault Kwid in the Indian market tomorrow ie, July 3, 2026. Although the company is yet to reveal the complete details, teaser images and recent spy photos show that the model will receive visual revisions, additional equipment and cabin upgrades, while its mechanical setup is expected to remain unchanged.The 2026 Renault Kwid facelift is expected to receive a revised exterior and an updated cabin while retaining its current powertrain. The refreshed hatchback is also likely to be priced slightly above the current model, which will be available between Rs 4.30 lakh and Rs 5.88 lakh (ex-showroom). Renault will announce full specifications and prices of the variant on July 3.The exterior is expected to draw styling cues from the Dacia Spring EV. The spy images suggest that the Kwid will continue with its split-headlamp setup but will adopt new Y-shaped LED daytime running lights and similarly styled tail-lamps. The main headlamp units are expected to remain halogen. Renault may also introduce redesigned front and rear bumpers along with a new set of alloy wheels.Moving to the interior, the Kwid is expected to feature a revised dashboard inspired by the Dacia Spring. A larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to replace the current unit, while a new steering wheel, a new instrument cluster and fresh upholstery are also expected. Although the cabin layout is likely to remain unchanged, Renault may offer six airbags as part of an upgraded safety package. The complete feature list will be revealed at launch.Mechanically, the facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 67-68hp and 91Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to remain unchanged, with buyers expected to get a choice of a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT. Renault is also expected to continue offering the dealer-installed CNG kit.
