Just a few days before it hits the big screen, ‘Alpha’ has released one of the last box sets before its release. The Alia Bhatt and the Sharvari starrer has now been given its clearance certificate, giving audiences a better idea of what’s in store when the actioner hits the theaters this week.
Alia Bhatt’s ‘Alpha’ gets UA 16+ certificate
According to a News18 report, ‘Alpha’, directed by Shiv Rawail, has received the UA 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film is slated to hit theaters worldwide on July 3 and is Alia’s first full-length role. The CBFC list has also revealed the film’s running time, confirming that ‘Alpha’ will clock in at 140 minutes, or two hours and 20 minutes.

Going beyond the certification, the CBFC website has also shared the audio of the movie, giving fans a glimpse of Alia’s character, Sita. It says, “Driven by revenge, a young girl destroys everyone in her path until her journey will reveal the hidden truth of her life. She is brave, cold, and ready to cross any line, hurting anyone who stands in her way.”

Using Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as the leads, the film also sees Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor to take important responsibilities. It is the seventh installment in the Spy Universe and the fourth independent film, following in the footsteps of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Tiger 3’, and ‘War 2’. With ‘Alpha’, the franchise welcomes Alia as its first female spy.
