The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the online application process for Group C Recruitment 2026 today, 30 June 2026. Eligible candidates who have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group C 2025 can submit their applications through the official HSSC recruitment portal before 11:59 PM.The recruitment drive is being conducted under advertisement no. 06/2026 to fill 1238 Group C Vacancies in various Departments of Haryana Govt. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete the registration process without waiting for the last minute.
Recruitment HSSC Group C 2026: Details of the vacancy
Recruitment includes the following positions:
- Deputy Prison Superintendent (Male): 30 publications
- Deputy Prison Superintendent (female): 3 publications
- Prison Warden (Male): 1,093 publications
- Prison guard (female): 112 messages
With this recruitment campaign, a total of 1,238 vacancies will be filled.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Jail Superintendent must have a post graduate degree from a recognized university.For Jail Warden Posts, candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination. They should also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at Matric level or above.Candidates must also meet the prescribed physical standards and qualify the required physical tests.
Selection process
The selection process includes the following phases:
- Written exam
- Physical measurement test (if applicable)
- Physical Screening Test (Qualification by Nature)
- Document verification
The written exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates will have 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the assignment.Incorrect answers will not be negatively marked. However, candidates must mark the fifth option for each unanswered question. If they leave a question completely blank without selecting the fifth option, one mark will be deducted for each question.
