UPSSSC ASO Mains Result 2026: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the result of ASO Main Exam 2026 for the candidates applying for the recruitment of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO). The shortlist result was announced on June 27, 2026, allowing eligible candidates to advance to the next stage of the recruitment process.The recruitment drive is underway for 1,565 vacancies, following an increase from the 929 posts notified earlier. Shortlisted candidates through the UP PET 2025 scores can appear for the main written examination as part of the selection procedure laid down by the commission.Recruitment has been announced for 1,565 vacanciesThe UPSSSC has issued Announcement no. 05-Examination/2026 for the recruitment of Assistant Statistical Director and Research Assistant. The recruitment notification was released on March 20, 2026, while the online application process began on April 21 and concluded on May 11, 2026. The last date for fee payment was also May 11, while candidates could make corrections in their application forms till May 18.The commission had previously notified 929 vacancies. The prescribed age limit is 21 to 40 years, with 1 July 2026 as the cut-off date for age calculation. Age relaxation will be applicable as per prescribed rules.Selection processThe recruitment process starts with the shortlisted based on the UP PET 2025 scores. Candidates shortlisted in the preliminary stage will appear in the main written exam. Those who qualify the main exam will be called for document verification followed by medical examination before final selection.Result now availableWith the publication of the Mains exam cutoff list result, the eligible candidates can proceed as per the recruitment schedule announced by the UPSSSC. The recruitment is aimed at filling the posts of Assistant Statistical Officer and Assistant Research Officer across Uttar Pradesh through the multi-stage selection process described in the official notification.
