This woman quit job portals, used ChatGPT to increase her salary from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 80 lakh
A woman has shared how she increased her annual salary from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 80 lakh within a year after landing a remote job. In a recent Instagram post, Ritu Maurya explained the strategy she says helped her stand out in a competitive job market. Instead of relying solely on traditional job applications, Maurya said it combined AI tools, project creation and direct attention to hiring managers. According to her, the idea was to demonstrate her skills before even getting an interview. In the video, Maurya advised job seekers to first identify a company they really want to work for and study a job description that matches their career goals. He noted that the role doesn’t have to be actively open, as the goal is to understand what the company is looking for in a candidate. The next step, he said, is to use ChatGPT to analyze the job description and generate a project idea tailored to that role. According to Maurya, the AI tool can help create both the concept and the instructions needed to build the project. He then suggested using Emergent.sh, an AI-powered development platform, to turn the idea into a working project. Maurya said the platform can help with planning, coding, debugging and deployment, helping users build working prototypes even if they don’t have a lot of technical experience. However, he emphasized that the first version of a project should not be considered the final product. Instead, users should continue to improve and refine it through multiple rounds of feedback and tweaks until it becomes practical and polished. Once the project is ready, Maurya recommends sharing it directly with a hiring manager. He suggested sending a message explaining that the project was created to address a challenge related to the company or role being sought. She also advised posting a short video explaining the project on LinkedIn and pinning it to the top of the profile so recruiters can easily see the work. According to Maurya, this approach allows job seekers to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving ability and relevant skills in a way that goes beyond a standard resume. His post highlights how AI tools and custom projects are increasingly used by professionals seeking remote opportunities and career growth.
