About ‘Cookie Queens’
‘Cookie Queens’ is a film written by director Alysa Nahmias that follows four young girls as they navigate the powerful and sophisticated world of the USD 800 million annual cookie season. Speaking about the film during the presentation, Markle added, “It’s more than Girl Scouts and definitely more than Girl Scout cookies. It’s about girlhood, which Alyssa has said a little bit about when we’ve been working on promoting the show, and about families.“He went on to share, “I think it’s a really cool picture of a very important part of Americana. When I explain it to people, I say, ‘I know you think it’s just going to be a fun movie about cookies…’ And yes, although it’s very beautiful and there are many good things about cakes, I mean, I don’t know about you guys, but every time we’ve seen it, there’s not a dry eye in the house… There’s a lot of logical, formal moments that I think will make it more logical than something beautiful. It’s much bigger than that, and it’s a testament to Alysa and her crew and how hard they’ve worked on this. “The star recently traveled to the UK with Prince Harry, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet for the Invictus Games.
