AISSMS IOIT strengthens academic ties between India and Japan in collaboration with Happy Science University

Continuing its commitment to internationalization and global learning, AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT), Pune, has deputed a delegation of 19 students along with Faculty Coordinator Dr. Varsha K. Patilto will participate in a 10-day short-term international student and staff exchange program at Happy Science University, scheduled from July 30 to August 8, 2026.The exchange program is designed to provide students with international academic exposure, cross-cultural learning, experiential education, and opportunities to interact with students and faculty from Japan. Through face-to-face sessions, cultural immersion, institutional visits and collaborative activities, participants will gain valuable global perspectives that will enrich their academic and personal development.This visit marks another significant milestone in the growing academic partnership between AISSMS IOIT and Happy Science University. Earlier this year, a delegation from Happy Science University visited AISSMS IOIT and actively participated in the institute’s flagship annual cultural festival, Alacrity, laying a strong foundation for meaningful academic collaboration, cultural exchange and people-to-people engagement. The current program represents the reciprocal phase of this successful international partnership.The collaboration initiatives and one-year exchange activities between the two institutions have been coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi A. Thalor, Dean – International Partnerships, and Dr. Varsha K. Patil, under the visionary leadership of Director Dr. Pradeep B. Mane and with the encouragement and support of Honorary Secretary Malojiraje Chhatrapati.Speaking on the initiative, the institute highlighted that international collaborations play a vital role in preparing students to become globally competent professionals by exposing them to diverse academic environments, cultures and innovative practices.This initiative reflects AISSMS IOIT’s unwavering commitment to fostering global partnerships and providing transformative international learning experiences, further strengthening the educational and cultural ties between India and Japan.
