One of the most talked about aspects of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is the return of the two original Avengers, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans. Although Downey has taken the new face of the main antagonist as Dr. Doom, Evans returns as Captain America, and fans can’t wait to see the actor on the big screen in perhaps one of his favorite roles. In one of his recent interviews, the actor talked about returning to the set of the MCU after a long hiatus, and how filming ‘Doomsday’ took him back to 2011 when he shot the first ‘Avengers’ movie.

Speaking about his return as Captain America in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, Chris Evans looked back on his journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how it felt when he first joined it. While talking to Entertainment Weekly about his big comeback, Evans revealed that he feels like he’s going back to the 2011 set for ‘Avengers.’He added, “It was like going back to 2011 on the first Avenger, because at the beginning of this, you’re like the new kid on the block and you’re happy to be there.”Speaking more about how he would have fun on set, Evans shared, “I would find myself during the screening of the movie. You’re in the scene, but then it’s like, ‘Robert Downey Jr. is playing Tony Stark! F—, I have a line.’ And on this one, I felt a little bit more, just watching you do something that I can’t wait to see.”Chris Evans reprized his role in the 2019 film, “Avengers: Endgame”. He made his first appearance as Captain America in 2011, which was followed by his second installment, ‘Avengers’, which was released in 2012.

Comparing the two, the actor said, “There’s science, and they’re seen as very intelligent, but Tony had a pain that made him a hero and Doom has something different, where it takes both people’s skills to challenge him – and it was fun to watch.”“
