Thalapathy Vijay‘Jana Nayagan’ saw a strong recovery at the box office on its first Saturday. After seeing a dip on Friday, the entertainer bounced back with a huge surge in donations on Day 3.According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 28.50 crore at the Indian net on Saturday. This marks a 34.8% increase in the Day 2 collection of Rs 21.15 crore.The three-day performance has helped the film to close to the 100 crore mark in India.
India collects close to Rs 100 crore Net
Opening on Saturday, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has collected Rs 92.35 crore in India in the first three days. The film’s collection in India now stands at Rs 108.34 crore. Overseas, the Vijay starrer added another Rs 20 crore on Day 3. Its worldwide total has now reached Rs 63.50 crore.Combining the domestic and foreign figures, the film’s worldwide collection has risen to Rs 171.84 crore. The video was shown in 12,299 shows on Saturday.Language-wise collections were led by the Tamil version, which collected Rs 24.40 crore. The Hindi version took Rs 2.70 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 1.40 crore to the total.
Feel good all day
The Tamil version registered a viewership of 61.04% on Day 3. The morning shows opened at 42.92%, before increasing to 59.31% in the afternoon. Evening occupancy also increased to 67.00%, while night shows touched 74.92%.The Hindi language had a population of 16.39%. It opened at 7.08% in the morning before ending the day and remained at 27.00% during the night.Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered 22.58%. Attendance rose from 15.64% in the morning to 30.18% in the final shows of the day.
Tamil Nadu continues to drive collections
Tamil Nadu gave a budget of 20 crores, making it the most successful film for the Vijay starrer.Among other states, Karnataka collected Rs 4.75 crore, while the rest of India contributed Rs 4 crore. Kerala added Rs 2.50 crore, and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together collected Rs 2.09 crore. These figures pushed the film’s Day 3 India collection to Rs 33.34 crore.
