The film entered its first weekend with a steady collection.According to the latest figures from Sacnilk, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has collected 1.94 crore nett in India so far on Day 3. At the time of reporting, the film was running across 2,687 screens across the country.
Total collection in India to Rs 65.79 crore
‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken the all India collection to Rs 65.79 crore. The gross collection of this movie in India has also increased to Rs 77.29 crore.The Tamil version has grossed Rs 1.86 crore nett from 1,574 shows in live ratings. The Telugu version has earned Rs 3 lakhs from 332 shows so far.The film opened with Rs 42.70 crore nett on its first day. It followed the show with Rs 21.15 crore nett on Day 2. The collection helped the film cross the Rs 50 crore mark in India in just two days of release.
The global total is still over Rs 112 crore
‘Jana Nayagan’ has also given strong numbers in overseas markets. By the end of Day 2, the film had collected Rs 37.50 crore worldwide.The overseas totals include Rs 10 crore earned on the second day only. Combined with its domestic performance, the film’s international collection reached Rs 112.50 crore after two days in theatres.
Day 2 saw a drop in expectations after the blockbuster opening
After a huge opening day performance, “Jana Nayagan” went down on Friday. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 21.15 crore nett on Day 2 compared to Rs 42.70 crore nett on its opening day. This represented a 50.5 percent drop in daily collections.With the first weekend still underway, all eyes are on whether the weekend collections can take the film further.
