Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is serving time in prison, hit the headlines again, after he got into an argument with a fellow inmate.According to recent reports, the singer was reportedly locked in solitary confinement following a ‘violent’ altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey earlier this week. TMZ reports that the incident began when an inmate allegedly insulted the music star, which quickly escalated into a fight.

Diddy wrestled with the prisoner

Sources told the newspaper that the two men pushed each other and punched each other before they intervened and separated the two men. The report says Combs “held his own” in the fight before being taken into solitary confinement and thrown “into a pit.”TMZ also reported that the dispute could have ramifications beyond punishment. Combs, who is currently scheduled to be released in February 2028. However, if prison officials find that he has violated the law, it could affect that record.

Diddy’s prison time to be affected by controversy?

Howard Robertson, the former warden of New York City’s Rikers Island, told TMZ that prison officials will investigate and if Combs is found to have violated prison rules, it could tarnish his reputation and diminish the good reputation that helps him get out.

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2025 following his federal conviction earlier that year. He has already received credit for the time he spent in prison before serving a sentence. The founder of Bad Boy Records was acquitted of the most serious charges of prostitution and racketeering but was found guilty of lesser federal charges.
