The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for submitting fresh applications for UGNEET-2026 to 30 July 2026. The extension is available to candidates who have appeared in NEET, qualified for admission to medical courses and have not yet applied for UGNEET through the KEA portal.KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna IAS informed the candidates that the earlier deadline of July 24, 2026 has been extended following requests from applicants and parents. The authority has also clarified that KEA is yet to receive the NEET result information. Candidates should not submit their NEET registration number details till the information is available.New registration facility for medical incomeKEA had earlier opened fresh applications for candidates seeking admission to medical, dental and AYUSH courses in Karnataka for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates who did not register for UGCET-2026 can apply through UGNEET-2026 new registration link available on KEA website.Applicants must complete the registration, submit the online application and pay the appropriate fee to participate in the admission process. Candidates who have already registered for CET-2026 need not apply again. KEA will provide a separate link through which existing applicants can add their NEET roll number in their CET application.NEET Roll Number Link and Document VerificationKEA stated that the facility to link NEET registration numbers will be provided after receiving the required NEET result data. Once the candidates register their NEET roll number, the document verification procedures will start as per the schedule issued by the authority.Eligibility criteria, minimum qualifying marks and category requirements will follow the norms prescribed by the competent authorities after the release of UGNEET-2026 re-examination results.KEA has advised the candidates to read UGNEET-2026 Information Bulletin carefully before applying. The bulletin contains details about eligibility conditions, seat categories and requirements for claiming different types of seats.Instructions for Non-Karnataka and Special Category CandidatesNon-Karnataka candidates need to register on KEA portal, provide personal details, pay registration fee, enter class 12 marks information and upload mark card in PDF format through Marks Entry web portal.OCI, PIO, NRI and Foreigners candidates along with eligible non-Karnataka applicants seeking NRI Ward seats, Religious Minorities or St. specific seats. John’s Medical College, they have to book seats and attend document verification at KEA, Bengaluru on the notified dates.All UGNEET-2026 counseling rounds including missed vacancy round will be conducted online by KEA as per National Medical Commission and Department of AYUSH guidelines.
