Actress Eva Grover, known for popular TV shows including Karishma Ka Karishma, Kora Kagaz and Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, has opened up about her past marriage to Hyder Ali Khan, Aamir Khan’s brother. In a recent interview, she said that what started as a whirlwind romance turned into years of domestic abuse, depression and loss. Although the couple has been divorced for a long time, Eva said that Hyder is now facing difficulties and is struggling to meet the basic needs.Eva remembered that she and Hyder spoke because they were religious relations. According to him, he proposed just 19 days after they first met, and the two were soon married.During the interview, Eva said that Hyder had schizophrenia, which she said she was not aware of during their marriage.“On the third day of our marriage, I saw the first act of violence. He had schizophrenia, but back then I didn’t understand what schizophrenia meant. I didn’t know Hyder well. In the 18 days before our wedding, I only saw his chivalrous side. Eva also said that Hyder’s mental health problems, including heavy drinking and depression after he quit his job to take up sports, put a strain on their relationship. He also said that his parents tried to stop the alleged abuse but to no avail.“There were bruises, I was shaking, my mother-in-law and mother-in-law were trying to understand. She cried in front of him again, asking him why he does this,” said the woman.He said that Hyder became suspicious and often blamed him for events that were in his mind. “He started having boring thoughts that weren’t real. He thought I was having a driver or blamed me for things that were on his mind. From morning to evening, he was drinking alcohol,” he said. Despite his abuse, Eva said that she remained married for five years with the hope that things would improve. They believed parenthood would strengthen their relationship, but said things only got worse when their daughter was born.“There was a lot of violence in my marriage, I tried very hard to save it. I thought that having a child would help make everything better, but things only got worse. “As soon as my daughter was born, the divorce proceedings started and I was sent back to my mother’s house,” she recalled.Eva said that her injuries were so severe that those around her would notice, and thanked her family and friends who encouraged her to leave the marriage.“My uncle, members of my firing squad and everyone around me assured my mother that I was in a very bad condition. I had bruises all over my body. They said I wouldn’t survive if I stayed there. “After that, I got a divorce,” he said.The actor also reflected on the depression of being separated from his daughter. He said the child started living with him until he was three years old, and then Hyder’s family custody after spending time with his father on weekends which he says became difficult.“I kept quiet for so long that in all the chaos, my daughter was given away permanently to that family at the age of three. “I didn’t see him for the next 10 years because I had no treatment,” he said.Eva added that even though she was not able to meet her daughter for ten years, she continued to support her financially by supporting her education.“I endured torture for five years. My daughter was not with me. I did not see her for 10 years. I quietly sent money every month to study. She is 19 now and visits me once or twice a week. He is more mature than I was at his age,” said Eva.In the same interview, Eva also spoke about Aamir Khan’s relationship with Hyder Ali Khan’s family group. He said that Aamir knew that he has been facing problems in his family.“I heard that Aamir’s boss said that I had not made the right choice. This message reached me before I got married through some books, but I didn’t listen,” she said.Eva also said that Aamir is often away from the family. He explained that Hyder and his sister were not Tahir Hussain’s real children but were from his second wife Shehnaz Khan who was married earlier.He also said that during Tahir Hussain’s last days, Aamir took him to Pune to take care of him and that Hyder’s mother, Shehnaz Khan, was not allowed to meet him even though they were in a relationship.“Aamir Khan sir did not want to have any relationship with this family. When Tahir Abbu was in his last phase, they took him to Pune and kept him there. Even my former mother-in-law, whom Tahir Hussain loved, was not allowed to meet him,” said Eva.Eva said that her former mother-in-law’s health began to deteriorate over the following years, and she eventually suffered a brain hemorrhage and died.Before ending her interview, Eva Grover said that despite the pain she says she experienced in her marriage, she still feels sympathy for her ex-husband.
