Mona Singh reveals why she waited for the ‘right script’
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Mona Singh looked back on the journey that brought her here, believing in being patient and waiting for lucrative opportunities rather than accepting jobs as they appear. Reflecting on her career, Mona said that she has not allowed obstacles to shake her faith, adding that hard work is the key to her journey.Singh said, “I never thought in my life that this could not happen. There is nothing that cannot happen. If I had stopped, I would not be standing in front of you today, honestly. I just kept going, I stayed consistent, I kept waiting, not the next script but the right script. I think that’s why all my releases look so different. They look like the right pile of work, no work I’ve been doing.”

The ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood’ actress also shared the stages that guide her to choose, revealing that she focuses on roles that challenge her as an actor and a woman.Explaining her thoughts, Mona said, “It’s something I’ve never done before as an actress, as a woman. I’m looking forward to taking on challenges I’ve never done before. I don’t want a woman to be kept as a moral compass… or just being the girl next door…or just being a good mom. Are they running a script? Are they advancing the story? Are his ambitions and courage celebrated in the script? That’s what I look for.“
