New song from Emraan Hashmi‘s ‘Awarapan 2’ released today and is being touted as Arijit Singh‘s back to singing singing, it’s not true. Despite the excitement surrounding Arijit Singh’s latest song ‘Yeh Awarapan’, his manager has confirmed that the singer is not returning to singing.The song is Singh’s first release just months after he announced his retirement from acting earlier this year. However, his manager has denied that the song has come back. “He is just completing the projects that were completed before he announced his retirement. Arijit is not going back to music. This is what he promised earlier,” his manager told The Print. Produced by Amaal Malik with vocals by Rashmi Virag, Yeh Awarapan is slated to release on July 21 on audio platforms.The channel also marks the collaboration between Singh and producer Vishesh Bhatt, whose banner Vishesh Films is supporting Awarapan 2. Their previous collaboration was Pal from the 2018 film Jalebi. Over the years, Singh has given several memorable songs for Vishesh Films, including Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2Muskurane from CityLights, and the title tracks of Khamoshiyan and Hamari Adhuri Kahani.Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui, Awarapan 2 is all set to release on August 14. Apart from Hashmi, the film features Disha PataniShabana Azmi, and Atul Kumar in senior positions.Singh announced his retirement from singing in January via an Instagram post, thanking fans for their support over the years. In the letter, he wrote, “Hello, Happy New Year to all of you. I want to thank you all for giving me so much love all these years as an audience. I am happy to announce that I will not take any new jobs as a musician from now on. I am calling it quits. It was a great journey.“‘Awarapan 2’ is slated to hit the theaters on August 14.
